"The Elemental Realms"
I never expected the idea to come while driving. My mind wandered through the usual—tasks undone, new painting ideas—but that first painting had been there for weeks. It felt like a seed buried deep, waiting to be unearthed.
I knew I wanted a challenge, something I hadn’t done before. Four paintings, one cohesive collection. But what? It wasn’t until one day, like a switch, I realized what I was meant to paint—nature, in all its delicate balance. The harmony that exists in everything, from the earth beneath us to the stars above. The quiet, powerful interconnection of it all.
I chose gouache. It was my first time, but I loved the way the paint bloomed back to life with water, its brightness, its ability to create clean, bold shapes. The perfect medium to explore the theme that had taken root in me.
‘Elements Realm’ was born—Earth, Water, Air, Fire. Each painting stood alone, but together, they became a whole. Like nature itself, every piece intertwined. I learned that fire, something I once thought of only as destructive, could also spark life. That realization humbled me.
When I finished, it felt like a weight was lifted. All I want is for others to see themselves in these pieces-to find comfort, hope, and a reflection of who they are, whether passionate like fire or calm like earth. We are all part of something bigger, something eternal.
The way it works together, in perfect, unseen harmony. The more I thought about it, the more I felt a pull to capture that balance, that connection to everything around us.
